    Description

    Drake Logistics is seeking an organized and dependable Logistics Coordinator to support daily transportation operations, dispatch activities, and administrative functions. This position is responsible for reviewing ticketing information, confirming fleet truck rates and fees, handling Campbell Soup Warehouse duties, and facilitating communication among drivers, customers, accounting, dispatch, and management.
     
    The Logistics Coordinator will also serve as the backup dispatcher and must be prepared to assume dispatch responsibilities when regular dispatch personnel are unavailable. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, responsive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced transportation environment.
     
    Key Responsibilities
     
    • Review daily fleet truck tickets for accuracy and completeness.
    • Confirm applicable rates, charges, and fees associated with fleet transportation activity.
    • Identify and communicate ticketing, billing, or rate discrepancies for correction.
    • Handle all assigned Campbell Soup Warehouse duties and related documentation.
    • Support the Dispatch Department with daily operations, scheduling, coordination, and administrative needs.
    • Serve as the backup dispatcher and assume dispatch responsibilities when dispatch personnel are absent.
    • Communicate assignments, schedules, route information, and operational updates to drivers.
    • Monitor incoming phone lines and professionally assist or direct customers, drivers, vendors, and employees.
    • Respond promptly to operational questions and help resolve routine scheduling or communication issues.
    • Provide administrative support to the Vice President of Operations, including scheduling, correspondence, documentation, reporting, and other operational needs.
    • Maintain accurate dispatch records, tickets, rate information, and supporting documentation.
    • Assist with data entry, filing, document preparation, and recordkeeping.
    • Help maintain effective communication and workflow among dispatch, accounting, management, drivers, customers, and warehouse personnel.
    • Maintain a professional, organized, and responsive office environment.
    • Assist with additional administrative and operational duties as assigned.
     
    Qualifications
     
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Previous experience in dispatch, transportation, logistics, customer service, or office administration preferred.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to review tickets, rates, fees, and related documentation accurately.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and adjust to changing operational priorities.
    • Professional telephone and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work independently while also supporting a team.
    • Dependable, punctual, and capable of handling confidential information appropriately.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and other office or dispatch systems.
    • Ability and willingness to learn all dispatch responsibilities and provide coverage when needed.
     
    Preferred Skills
     
    • Experience working with fleet trucks, trucking operations, or transportation documentation.
    • Knowledge of dispatch procedures and driver coordination.
    • Experience reviewing tickets, freight charges, rates, or billing information.
    • Familiarity with warehouse operations and customer-specific requirements.
     
    Work Environment
     
    This position primarily works in an office and dispatch environment and requires regular interaction with drivers, customers, warehouse personnel, accounting staff, and management. The employee must be able to remain organized and responsive while handling interruptions and changing operational needs throughout the day.
