Job Description

Description

SAIC is looking for a Logistics Analyst to work with our team at Crane NSWC in Crane, IN. The position provides comprehensive logistics and product support analysis for the ALQ-99 Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) in support of Fleet Support Team (FST) tasking associated with Airborne Electronic Warfare (EW) systems. This position supports the full life-cycle sustainment of the ALQ-99 PSE, ensuring warfighting readiness through effective integrated logistics planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Product Support Analysis (PSA) and maintain Logistics Product Data (LPD) in accordance with MIL-HDBK-502A and SAE GEIA-STD-0007 across all life-cycle phases of the ALQ-99 PSE.
  • Develop, review, and maintain Life-Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs), Operational Logistics Support Summaries (OLSS), and User''s Logistics Support Summaries (ULSS) in accordance with DoDI 5000.02.
  • Conduct Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) assessments to ensure conformance with program requirements, documenting inconsistencies and providing recommendations.
  • Support supply and provisioning activities including tracking material requirements, identifying Diminishing Manufacturing Sources & Material Shortage (DMSMS) and obsolescence issues, managing parts provisioning, procurement, and scheduling.
  • Perform Maintenance Planning analyses and technical assessments of maintenance concepts in accordance with MIL-HDBK-502A, assigning Source, Maintenance, and Recoverability (SM&R) Codes per NAVSUPINST 4423.29A.
  • Collect and analyze maintenance data with respect to reliability and maintainability, including MTBF calculations, replaceable item failure rates, and Operational Availability (OA) in accordance with OPNAVINST 3000.12B and CNAF 4790.2E NAMP.
  • Support Configuration Management (CM) activities in accordance with SAE EIA-649C, tracking engineering changes and evaluating their impact on supportability.
  • Conduct Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T) analyses in accordance with MIL-STD-2073-1E, assessing protection levels, container design, and transportability.
  • Provide support to ILSMT meetings and Logistic Review Group (LRG) audits, including preparation of briefing materials, recording minutes, and tracking action items.
  • Develop and review technical manuals, operations and maintenance procedures in accordance with SAE GEIA-STD-0007.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain Secret security clearance, Interim Secret required to start.
  • Demonstrated experience with Navy IPS planning, PSA, and logistics documentation.
  • Familiarity with ALQ-99 or similar Airborne EW systems and associated PSE.
  • Proficiency with applicable military standards including MIL-HDBK-502A, MIL-STD-1388-2B, and OPNAVINST 3000.12B.
  • Strong analytical, written, and briefing communication skills.
