Russell Tobin is supporting a leading global technology company in hiring a Service Supply Chain Operations Specialist. This role supports the service supply chain across two key workstreams: post-ramp qualification (PRQ) project coordination and hands-on commodity management for display and touch module components.
This role requires someone who can operate independently across cross-functional teams, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost and supply outcomes with minimal ramp time.
Facilitate post-ramp qualification projects end-to-end, ensuring component transitions meet program milestones and quality requirements.
Serve as the primary coordination point between cross-functional engineering, program management, and service supply chain teams to track PRQ status, flag risks, and drive resolution.
Maintain PRQ project trackers and provide regular status updates to stakeholders, ensuring deadlines are met and blockers are escalated promptly.
Support qualification documentation, test result tracking, and approval workflows required for PRQ completion.
Supply Management
Monitor supplier capacity, lead times, and delivery performance to ensure continuity of supply for assigned commodities.
Proactively identify and mitigate supply risks across the service supply chain.
Vendor Management
Manage day-to-day supplier relationships, conduct business reviews, and drive supplier accountability on quality, delivery, and responsiveness commitments.
Cost Management
Support cost negotiations, track pricing trends, and identify cost reduction opportunities.
Maintain accurate cost files and support BOM cost reconciliation activities.
Collaborate with Materials, Planning, Finance, and Engineering teams to align sourcing decisions with program requirements and financial targets.
Support last-time-buy (LTB) assessments and end-of-life (EOL) transition planning for assigned commodities as needed.
3–5+ years of experience in supply chain, commodity management, or procurement, preferably in consumer electronics or hardware manufacturing.
Demonstrated experience managing supplier relationships — pricing negotiations, delivery performance, and capacity planning.
Familiarity with NPI or post-ramp qualification processes in a hardware environment.
Strong project coordination skills with the ability to track multiple workstreams, manage deadlines, and communicate status across cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in Excel and supply chain planning tools (SAP, ERP systems, or equivalent).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Prior experience in service supply chain or after-sales operations.
Knowledge of display, touch module, or related electromechanical commodities.
Experience with BOM management, cost modeling, or should-cost analysis.
Familiarity with PRQ/qualification workflows and engineering change processes.
