Description

Job Title: Logistics Analyst III

Location: Remote

Pay Rate: 52/hr, W2

Duration: 12+ Month Contract

Work Mode: Remote

Summary:

  • Working Hours: 8am - 5pm, EST or CST candidates; Candidates in CST may need to sign in at 7am EST
  • Travel: Possible travel for Business meeting; 10%, possible Canada travel

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Inquiry to Order (ITO) organization by developing project-specific customs strategies and supporting Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification reviews.
  • Coordinate day-to-day import and export activities, customs documentation, and customs clearance for the Order to Remittance (OTR) organization.
  • Develop, implement, and administer the ATA Carnet Program for Client Service trucks and tooling.
  • Maintain HTS classification records, country-of-origin information, customs valuation data, and import/export documentation requirements.
  • Assess tariff exposure and support the development of mitigation strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce customs costs through Free Trade Agreements and other duty-optimization programs.
  • Collect, validate, consolidate, and analyze logistics data from project teams and transportation providers.
  • Create dashboards, reports, and scorecards to provide visibility into shipment status and operational risks.
  • Establish and monitor logistics and customs KPIs.
  • Serve as a liaison with customs brokers, freight forwarders, transportation providers, and government agencies.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Tax, and Trade Compliance teams regarding customs issues.
  • Partner with Logistics Portfolio Managers and other teams to integrate customs and reporting requirements into project execution plans.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, Customs Administration, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in customs compliance, international trade, import/export operations, logistics analytics, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of CBP, CBSA, USMCA, Incoterms 2020, customs valuation, and import/export regulations.
  • Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and transportation providers.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize time-sensitive activities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Licensed Customs Broker, Certified Customs Specialist, or an equivalent customs or trade certification.
  • Experience supporting industrial equipment, power generation, EPC, heavy-lift, oversized cargo, or project logistics.
  • Experience with SAP, Transportation Management Systems, Power BI, Smartsheet, and SharePoint or Box.
  • Experience with logistics cost analysis, freight budgeting, and EAC forecasting.
