Logistics Administrative Assistant - Jackson Georgia
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to the logistics, supply chain, transportation, and warehouse operations teams.
Prepare, process, verify, and maintain shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, delivery confirmations, freight invoices, and related records.
Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, vendors, dealers, customers, and internal departments to schedule pickups, deliveries, shipments, and appointments.
Track inbound and outbound shipments and communicate status updates, delays, exceptions, or documentation needs to appropriate stakeholders.
Enter and maintain accurate logistics data in ERP, transportation, warehouse, inventory, or document-management systems.
Assist with inventory, parts, equipment, and shipment records by reconciling discrepancies and supporting cycle counts or reporting activities as needed.
Review freight invoices, purchase orders, and shipping charges for accuracy and help resolve billing or documentation discrepancies.
Support returns, claims, damaged shipment documentation, proof of delivery requests, and carrier follow-up.
Prepare routine reports, spreadsheets, correspondence, and logistics-related documentation for management review.
Maintain organized electronic and physical logistics files while supporting compliance with safety, quality, customs, transportation, and company documentation requirements.
Perform other administrative duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
Previous administrative, logistics, transportation, warehouse, supply chain, customer service, or clerical experience preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Experience using ERP, TMS, WMS, inventory, freight, or document-management systems is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, service-oriented approach.
Excellent attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work accurately in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Ability to work collaboratively with carriers, vendors, warehouse teams, customer service, sales, procurement, and other internal partners.
