Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Cardiology and Electrophysiology (EP) for a locum tenens opportunity in Bellingham, Washington, beginning December 1, 2026.
The provider will deliver comprehensive electrophysiology and cardiovascular care in inpatient and outpatient settings, including patient evaluations, hospital rounding, admissions, treatment planning, and ongoing cardiac management.
This full-time position offers consistent 10-hour day shifts with no call responsibilities. Candidates must hold an active Washington PA license and be comfortable working independently.

Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide Inpatient and Outpatient Electrophysiology Care
- Perform Comprehensive Cardiovascular Assessments
- Evaluate Patients With Cardiac Rhythm Disorders
- Conduct Hospital Rounding and Manage Admissions
- Review Medical Histories and Diagnostic Findings
- Develop Individualized Treatment Plans
- Monitor Patient Progress and Treatment Responses
- Coordinate Ongoing Cardiac and Electrophysiology Care
- Collaborate With Cardiology and Hospital-Based Teams
- Provide Patient Education and Follow-Up Management
- Maintain Accurate and Timely Documentation in Epic
- Manage Assigned Patients Independently Within Scope of Practice

Requirements
- Certified Physician Assistant (PA) – Required
- Active Washington PA License – Required
- BLS Certification – Required
- ACLS Certification – Required
- Epic EMR Experience – Required
- Recent Clinical Practice Experience – Required
- At Least 2 Years of Clinical Experience in Cardiology or Electrophysiology – Required
- Experience With Inpatient Rounding and Admissions
- Experience Managing Adult Cardiology Patients
- Ability to Provide Inpatient and Outpatient Care
- Ability to Work Independently
- Strong Cardiovascular Assessment and Clinical Decision-Making Skills
- Current BLS and ACLS Certifications Issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, as Applicable
Recent Clinical Practice Requirements
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
- At Least 12 Months of Clinical Practice Within the Relevant Specialty During the Past 5 Years
- OR Graduation From an Accredited Program Within the Past 12 Months
