Pay & Benefits

What You’ll Do
  • Provide primary care services to detainees, including physical assessments and follow-ups
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions across all age groups, including females' health and prenatal care
  • Conduct daily rounds and coordinate care with healthcare staff
  • Respond to medical emergencies supervised within facility protocols
  • Review and approve specialist referrals and outside consultations
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
  • Support facility health initiatives and performance improvement activities
What You Need
  • Valid medical license in Louisiana and current DEA registration
  • BLS or equivalent certification
  • At least 1 year of professional medical experience, preferably in correctional or detention facilities
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and cultural competence
  • Ability to work independently with high ethical standards
