Required Skills:
- Valid medical license in Virginia or eligibility to obtain one
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology or Family Medicine with OB specialization
- Exceptional clinical judgment and strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a hospital setting
- Proficiency in managing high-risk obstetric cases and emergency situations
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in a hospital-based obstetric practice
- Prior locum tenens or temporary assignment experience
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
- Bilingual abilities or proficiency in additional languages
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 3 years of obstetric practice or relevant experience
- Certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) are highly desirable
Other Requirements:
- Active medical licensure in Virginia or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Certification and/or experience in managing obstetric emergencies
- Willingness to travel to North Chesapeake, VA, for the duration of the assignment
- Compliance with all hospital, state, and federal healthcare standards
