Our client in Indiana is seeking a dedicated Physician specializing in Urgent Care for a 78-day assignment. This role involves a rotating schedule, including weekends, with three 12-hour shifts per week (7:45 AM-8:15 PM). The Physician will deliver comprehensive urgent care services, addressing a wide range of conditions from respiratory and gastrointestinal issues to minor injuries, infections, and performing basic diagnostic and treatment procedures.Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide urgent care services at various clinic locations.
- Diagnose and treat respiratory infections including colds, flu, bronchitis, sinus infections, and sore throats.
- Manage gastrointestinal issues such as mild stomach viruses, food poisoning, and dehydration from vomiting or diarrhea.
- Address infections like urinary tract infections, ear infections, and pink eye.
- Evaluate and treat minor rashes, insect bites, and localized skin infections.
- Manage mild to moderate sprains and strains, minor cuts requiring stitches or staples, and minor first- and second-degree burns.
- Care for simple, non-displaced fractures or broken fingers and toes.
- Perform basic imaging using X-rays for sprains or simple breaks.
- Conduct rapid lab tests for strep, flu, COVID-19, and basic urine analyses.
- Administer treatments including tetanus shots, basic wound care, and prescription medications.
