- 12-hour in-house call shifts -- days, evenings, and overnight coverage
- Avg 7 patients per shift -- both low risk and high risk pregnancies
- Hospital-based obstetrics setting
- Routine and complicated deliveries -- C-sections, breech, VBACs, abruptions
- High-risk OB skills required -- FHR interpretation, forceps, laceration repair
- Approx 1,295 deliveries per year at this facility
- 14 - 21 shifts per month -- 7 - 10 shifts needed monthly
