About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Hospitalist MD in Virginia!

Our client in Virginia seeks a skilled Pediatrician for a 30-day assignment starting Oct 13, 2026. This role involves 24-hour out-of-house pediatric hospital call coverage, managing shifts from 7 AM to 7 AM. The Physician will be responsible for rounding in the nursery, attending deliveries and C-sections, and performing various procedures including UVC, UAC, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and suturing minor lacerations.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide 24-hour out-of-house pediatric hospital call coverage
• Round in the nursery
• Attend deliveries and C-sections
• Perform UVC
• Perform UAC
• Perform lumbar punctures
• Perform chest tube insertions
• Suture minor lacerations

Additional Information

• Required Board Certifications: Pediatrics
• EMR System: Meditech EHR
• Call Schedule: 24-hour out-of-house pediatric hospital call coverage
• Setting: Primarily inpatient
