About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Hospitalist MD in California!

Our client is actively seeking a dedicated Hospitalist Physician for a 56-day assignment in California, commencing Nov 16, 2026. This vital role involves covering night shifts from 7p-7a, where you will manage cross cover calls, respond to rapid response and code blue emergencies, and perform basic hospital medicine procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Answer cross cover calls
• Respond to rapid response and code blue calls
• Perform basic hospital medicine procedures, including central line placement and intubation
• Utilize available ER physician backup as needed

Additional Information

• Work Setting: Inpatient
• Shift Schedule: Nights, 7p-7a
• EMR System: Cerner
• Board Certification: Required in Internal Medicine
