What Youll Do- Perform patient histories and physical exams within trauma protocol.
- Make assessments, diagnoses, and develop treatment plans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging.
- Assist in emergency and urgent procedures, including minor surgical interventions.
- Recognize and act on urgent situations requiring physician intervention.
- Provide patient counseling on health topics including medications, diet, and long-term management.
- Coordinate admissions, discharge, and ongoing patient care.
- Participate as a surgical first or second assist in trauma surgeries, including robotic-assisted procedures.
- Support the trauma team by monitoring ICU patients and managing trauma-related cases.
What You Need- Valid California Physician Assistant license
- Trauma or critical care experience
- Surgical assisting experience (preferred) or documented training in surgical assist techniques
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced trauma environment
- Excellent communication and clinical skills

Join a well-respected Level II Trauma Center in Redding, CA, known for its collaborative team approach and comprehensive trauma care. The facility handles a variety of trauma cases, supporting a dynamic team of healthcare professionals dedicated to resident and patient well-being. Support includes one other trauma NP/PA on day shift, with coverage required on multiple urgent dates through December 2026. The provider will support a trauma surgeon, manage ICU patients, and assist in surgeries as needed.
