What Youll Do
- Provide specialized support to the cardiothoracic surgery team in a busy hospital setting
- Assist with perioperative patient care and post-operative management
- Conduct inpatient and outpatient patient evaluations and rounds
- Collaborate with surgeons and nursing staff to ensure quality care delivery
- Document patient interactions accurately using EPIC EMR system
- Support weekend rounds and inpatient care for 5-10 patients per rotation
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and protocols
What You Need
- Required:
- Active PA license in Virginia
- Certification as a Physician Assistant
- Prior experience in cardiothoracic surgery preferred
- Preferred:
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
