FACILITY INFORMATION- No. of Beds in Department: 128 (Hospital bed size)

- Specialty Backup Available: Full support staff weekdays and weekends, 1:1 APP to MD ratio
- Reason for Coverage: Covering two LOAs (MFLA), potential ongoing coverage for holidays and LOAs
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE- Credentialing Timeline: 90-120 days
REQUIRED PROCEDURES- Rounding on General Cardiology Patients
- Critical Care (if experienced)
- Advanced Heart Failure (if experienced)
JOB REQUIREMENTS- Licenses: Willing to obtain license
- Board: Required
- DEA: Yes
- Certifications: APRN or NCCPA
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of cardiology experience as an APP
- Other Qualifications: Acute Care Certification not required; Interview required with Lead APP and Director of Cardiovascular Advanced Practice Providers
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide inpatient cardiology coverage for general cardiology patients, including floor/stepdown and CCU.
- Manage patient census of 8-12 patients/day on floor/stepdown and 4-6 patients/day in CCU.
- Collaborate closely with attending physicians in a 1:1 APP to MD model with full support staff.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation, completing charting by end of day (EOD) in Epic EMR.
- Provide weekend coverage as needed, working 10-hour shifts (7a – 5p).
