LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Hematology and Oncology NP in Louisiana!
We are seeking a dedicated Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner for a 90-day assignment in Louisiana. Our client offers a flexible Monday-Friday schedule, accommodating a minimum of three days per week, with daily shifts extending until the completion of all chemo/biotherapy treatments. This role involves managing a high volume of complex patients, requiring significant care coordination, and includes rotating Saturday call approximately every three months, from 8 AM to noon. No inpatient rounding is required.Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage a high volume practice with complex patients
- Perform significant coordination of care
- Work until the completion of the last chemo/biotherapy each day
- Rotate Saturday call from 8 AM to noon approximately once every three months
- Provide treatment visits, follow-ups, and new patient appointments
- Care for complex patients with co-morbidities
- Follow a full panel of patients within a clinic setting with an outpatient infusion suite
- No inpatient rounding
Additional Information- Board Certification: Medical Oncology
- Additional Certifications: Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP), Basic Life Support (BLS)
- EMR: Epic
- Setting: Outpatient (Clinic Only)
- Call Schedule: Rotate Saturdays 8 AM to noon approximately once every 3 months
- Patient Volume: 10-12 patients per shift
- LOA: 90 Days
- Staffing Mix: 1 Full-time Medical Oncologist, 1 Part-time Medical Oncologist, 2 Nurse Practitioners (when fully staffed), 20 RNs, 2 MAs, full office staff
