Locum - Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology Lansing, MI

UMH Sparrow Lansing Main Hospital is seeking a NP to fill their Neonatology need

Dates of Coverage: July 5, 2026 TBD

Reason for Coverage: Unit is short-staffed due to pausing of the fellowship program for FY27 and move to APP-only staffing

Practice Setting: Inpatient Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Level III)

Rate Type Options: Hourly

Schedule (Shifts/Hours): Day: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM / Night: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM

Average Number of Patients Per Day: 10 12 per APP per day

Documentation System/EMR: Epic

Trauma Level/Designation: Level I Trauma; Level III NICU

Board Requirements: Must be board certified (ANCC, AANP, NCCPA, etc.)

State License Requirement: Must hold an active state license (no new license candidates accepted)

Certification Requirement: NRP

Autonomy: APP will not work autonomously

Supervision: Yes, supervising physician will be present during the assignment

Experience Requirement: Neonatal experience required; new grads not accepted

Procedures (Required/Preferred): Delivery room attendance, neonatal resuscitation, PICC line placement, umbilical line placement, needle aspiration, chest tube placement

Patient Demographic: Neonates

*Credentialing approximately 120+ days

Rates to Submit:

• Malpractice rate - (must be included in the rates)
• Orientation - 1/2 of hourly rate
• Hourly rate
• Holiday hourly: 1.5X
• OT rate
• OT Holiday rate

Facility will reimburse:

• Hotel
• Mileage at IRS standard rate
• Flights
