Job Summary:
This is a 12-week Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) assignment beginning on November 3, 2025. The position does not allow time for obtaining a new state license, so candidates must already be licensed in the state at the time of submission. The role involves working weekday 8-hour shifts with no in-house call, no pager call on weeknights or weekends, and while overtime is not expected, it is available.
The facility runs 20 anesthesia rooms and uses Epic and iPro as its charting systems. CRNAs are supervised by anesthesiologists at a 2:1 CRNA-to-MD ratio. Physicians both supervise and perform their own cases. Case types include general, orthopedic, and obstetric anesthesia.
Responsibilities include conducting pre-anesthesia assessments, verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and associated risks, performing induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring the patient's physiological condition, and carrying out clinical interventions as needed.
Qualified candidates must hold a current RN license, have graduated from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and be certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists. The estimated privileging timeframe for this position is 60 days.
