    LOCK DESK ADMINISTRATOR – JOB DESCRIPTION
    Pay Grade: Hourly (DOE)
    Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
    Reports to: Capital Markets Manager
    Department: Lock Desk
    Status: Regular, Full-Time
    FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-exempt
    Schedule: Monday - Friday
     

    SUMMARY & PURPOSE OF POSITION

    The Lock Desk Administrator is primarily responsible for answering questions by way of phone and email, along with processing a queue of work requests from internal employees. The individual in this role will assist in the day to day management of the lock desk and occasionally work with data analysis, along with report creation.

    PRIMARY POSITION-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

    Manage locking mortgage loans in a team-oriented environment;
    Review and confirm all lock requests' match investor lock confirmations;
    Understand how loans are priced for all mortgage products;
    Manage lock expiration dates and insure loan closes and is delivered (shipped) within their lock terms;
    Upload existing locked loans;
    Will work in Encompass Loan Origination software and in outside investor web portals;
    Conduct market and data research;
    Complete other duties as assigned.

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    High School Diploma or equivalent required;
    Excellent customer service skills;
    Have an ability to multi-task;
    Must be dependable with meeting deadlines and managing time;
    Have an ability to work independently on multiple files simultaneously;
    Possess strong oral and written communication skills.

    PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in accounting, finance, or a related field;
    At least one (1) year of experience in the mortgage industry;
    Experience with Microsoft Excel preferred.

    No direct reports

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENT

    The environment is characteristic of an office setting. Must be able to execute complex tasks on time sensitive transactions, and be able to work flexible hours including some weekends and evenings (after 6:00pm).
