Description

Snyder - Location Manager

The Location Manager oversees daily branch operations, employee leadership, customer service, and business performance. This position is responsible for driving operational efficiency, supporting customer success, and achieving location goals.

Salary

$50,000 - $75,000/year

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed Branch objectives and goals

  • Develop, with the assistance of the VP of Grain, forecast of grain receipts and grain sales, as well as operations programs that are beneficial for the customers and profitable for Effingham Equity

  • Directly supervises employees in the Grain Department at location. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees. Planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance, addressing complaints, and resolving problems

  • Responsible for the total operation of the branch

  • Grain Origination

  • Administration, employees, facilities, rolling stock, sales, safety and regulatory

  • Analyze branch workflow and employee job duties

  • Coordinate employee cooperation and utilization between the grain and feed operations at branch location

  • Review reports on operational performance

  • Maintain companys focus on exceptional customer service

  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of competitive products, services, and market

  • Continue to seek ongoing training and educational opportunities as directed by VP of Grain

  • Working knowledge of company software and computer system

  • Understanding of companys stock and patronage structure

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Leadership Characteristics

  • Bachelors degree in agriculture and/or related field is preferred. Five years experience in grain industry, both operations and origination
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Ability to professionally respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, suppliers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
  • Ability to make effective written or verbal presentations to management, employees, and customers
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Work Environment

Nature of job/business can require extended hours. Must follow all established personnel, safety, and regulatory policies/procedure requirements.

Travel

The employee may be required to travel to other facilities in The Equity trade area, conferences, educational opportunities, and other job-related activities.
