CNAs provide first aid for injuries, record symptoms, administer doctor-approved medication, provide emergency care when necessary, and keep records of visitors to the nurse's office. School CNAs provide students and staff health assistance under the professional guidance and supervision of the School Nurse and/or School Principal.

Responsibilities

School CNAs provide students and staff health assistance under the professional guidance and supervision of the School Nurse and/or School Principal. CNAs provide first aid for injuries, record symptoms, administer doctor-approved medication, provide emergency care when necessary, and keep records of visitors to the nurse's office. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Follow medical protocol under the supervision of a nurse.
• Assist the classroom teacher with implementation of each student's Individual Education Program.
• Assist students in meeting self-help, health and behavior needs including toileting and personal care needs.
