Local Pick-Up & Delivery Planner is responsible for planning trucks to service contract customer freight and ensure optimal equipment utilization. They will work together with Operations teams to ensure on-time service is met per customers' expectations.
Schedule: Sunday-Tuesday 6am-6pm; Wednesday 12pm-6pm
Responsibilities:- Plans pick up and deliveries for local drivers.
- Monitors drivers to ensure pick-up and deliveries are done on time.
- Communicates with Customer Service Team on any delays or issues.
- Provides input on available capacity to authorize T-calls.
- Forecasts upcoming challenges for the next day and advises second shift of pending issues.
Qualifications:- Minimum of 1 year of experience in logistics with moderate knowledge of Motor Carrier Operations and Geography.
- Apply knowledge of Motor Carrier Resources to meet company, customer, and driver needs.
- Moderate knowledge of North American Supply Chain Network and Operations.
- Competent user of MS Office.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
