Position Details

Position Details:

• Delivery Installers begin their day in our warehouse helping to load their delivery truck for their route.
• During the day, they will make home delivery of appliances, furniture, exercise equipment, patio furniture, etc. to customer's homes, businesses, and building sites to include unloading and installation of equipment, where applicable.
• This account delivers to multi-family sites which requires pulling heavy items up and down 5 flights of stairs without an elevator with the assistance of a dolly and helper.
• There will be multiple deliveries per day in most cases and some stops may have returns to pick up.

Must Cover (Physically Demanding)

• Drivers need to be able to load and unload appliances and other heavy objects.
• Ability to lift product up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to move and maneuver product upwards of 600 lbs using proper tools and carts, manual conveyance assistance, team lifting techniques, and accommodations.
• Candidates should have experience working with dollies, lift gates, pallet jacks and ramps.
• Candidates should have the ability to work with tools, general assembly/installation experience and the ability to read and follow service manual instructions.
• Having prior local delivery experience in metro areas would be a plus.

Additional Details:

• Training will include but is not limited to product familiarization, assembly & installation, straight-truck training, defensive driving, DOT regulations, customer service skills and various operations procedures.
• Driver should wear work pants/khakis with plain shirt and steel toe boots/shoes
• Uniforms are provided after hired onto the account.
• Training will be 3-4 weeks.

• Rate per mile: $0.42 - $0.55
• Rate per stop: $3.50 - $6.75
• Rate per unit unloaded and delivered: $0.43-0.56
• Multi-family per unit unloaded and delivered: $0.51-0.64
• Delivery service per unit: $0.42-0.49
• Cross-docking per hour: $15
• Right-seat driving per hour: $15
• New hire training per hour: $15
• Safety training per hour: $20
• Holiday pay per day: $140
• Drivers in this position over the last six to twelve months have averaged annualized earnings of $58,000
