Responsibilities

Gifted Teachers work with students who have strong skills in one or more areas and are responsible for organizing, implementing, and supporting modified instructional strategies to meet the advanced needs of each student. Gifted teachers' job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Individually assess students to determine educational needs in accordance with district procedures
• Prepare lesson plans for each group of students designed to help students hit academic goals
• Monitor the modified strategies for the students in coordination with the basic and gifted teachers as appropriate

Certifications
