Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) plan and provide occupational therapy to students with mental, physical, or emotional disabilities in need of these services to maximize physical or mental functioning. Create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the maturity level, interests, and needs of each assigned student.

Responsibilities

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) plan and provide occupational therapy to students with mental, physical, or emotional disabilities in need of these services to maximize physical or mental functioning. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Plan and provide direct and/or indirect services consistent with OT goals contained in the student's individual plan.
• Evaluate student progress and make recommendations regarding treatment.
• Create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the maturity level, interests, and needs of each assigned student.

Certifications

• Associate degree.
• COTA License/NBCOT.
