Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to oversee daily nursing operations in a rehabilitation facility in Scarborough, ME. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and leadership skills, with the ability to supervise nursing staff and ensure high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily nursing operations and ensure quality patient care.
- Supervise, guide, and support nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
- Coordinate patient care plans and monitor residents' progress.
- Perform nursing assessments and ensure accurate clinical documentation.
- Manage staff assignments and support daily unit operations.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, residents, and families.
- Monitor infection control practices and ensure patient safety.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and facility policies.
- Address clinical concerns and changes in residents' conditions.
- Support staff training, development, and performance improvement.
Requirements
- Current and active Maine RN license.
- Previous nursing experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or long-term care.
- Prior supervisory or nursing leadership experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
- Knowledge of nursing standards, care planning, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
