Job Requirements
  • Education Requirements: Valid RN licensure in North Carolina or applicable state license
  • Certifications Requirements: BLS, PALS preferred, APHON required chemo certification
  • Experience Requirements:
    • Minimum of 1 year of pediatric hematology/oncology acute care experience
    • Previous travel experience preferred
    • Experience with central line management and chemo administration
  • Other Requirements:
    • Must have at least 1+ years of nursing experience
    • Permanent address within 50+ miles of the facility
    • Strong pediatric assessment and critical thinking skills

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide pediatric hematology/oncology nursing care to diverse patient populations, including leukemia, solid tumors, sickle cell crisis, and general adolescent medicine
  • Administer chemotherapy, manage central lines, and ensure patient safety through vigilant assessment and critical thinking
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including CNAs, receptionists, and specialists, to deliver comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain accurate documentation within Epic EMR, including patient assessments, medication administration, and vital signs
  • Assist with patient education, discharge planning, and support within a team-oriented, family-centered environment
