JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

Department: OB GYN Unit

Shift Timings: 19:00 - 07:30 Hours Monday to friday 3 Days/12 Hours

Per Week: 36 Hours

• Including heart, cancer care, stroke care, orthopedics, pulmonology, gastroenterology and women's health.
• OB-GYNs and maternity care teams deliver a personalized birthing experience and advanced neonatal care (Level III NICU) for babies in need of specialized care.
• Offer a wide range of minimally invasive procedures using robotic-assisted technology, imaging and lab tests, a dedicated inpatient rehabilitation center, all on one campus.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
• Minimum Qualifications
• 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience is a requirement.
• NRP is a requirement. Charge experience strongly recommended.
• Night shift L&D RN position. 3 - 12 hour shifts per week. 13 week contract. 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks. Rotating weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BLS and ACLS
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• The ability to stand for extended periods.
• Strong technical skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Passionate about patient care
• Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Labor & Delivery experience.
• Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
• Active unencumbered Illinois state license
• One year of Cerner experience

Requirements
• COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
