Job Description – Registered Nurse (RN), NICU
Position: NICU Registered Nurse
Experience: Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required.
Shift Details:
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Rotating day/night shifts required.
- Minimum 48 hours of night shifts within 4 weeks.
- 24 hours of Friday shifts within 4 weeks.
- 48 hours of Saturday/Sunday shifts within 4 weeks.
- Every other holiday during the contract period.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill and premature newborns.
- Monitor vital signs, assess patient conditions, and administer medications and treatments.
- Operate and monitor NICU equipment.
- Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate and support parents and families.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be flexible to float to the PICU or provide 1:1 patient observation (sitting) when needed.
- Must be available for the specified rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Important: All shift and scheduling requirements are mandatory, with no exceptions.
Active RN - PA license
