Talent4Health is seeking a local contract nurse RN Oncology for a local contract nursing job in Topeka, Kansas.

Title: Registered Nurse – Oncology/Hematology

Location: Topeka, KS

Duration: 26 weeks

Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 12-hour shifts | 36 hrs/week guaranteed
 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of acute-care nursing experience
  • Oncology/Hematology experience preferred
  • ADN or BSN required
  • AHA BLS required
  • KS or Multistate RN license
  • No first-time travelers
  • Epic experience required (test-out option available)
  • Chemotherapy Certification preferred
  • Every other weekend rotation
  • Must be willing to float to other post-surgical and Med/Surg floors
  • Staffing ratio: 1:6; 1:4 with active chemotherapy infusion
  • Navy scrubs

Description:

  • 21-bed Hematology & Oncology unit
  • Provides care for hematology and oncology diagnoses
  • Handles inpatient chemotherapy, symptom management, and supportive care
  • Provides palliative and inpatient hospice/end-of-life care
  • Cares for specialized medical patients, including patients with tracheostomies
  • Delivers compassionate, patient-centered care while collaborating with the healthcare team
