Seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical RN for an adult inpatient unit providing post-surgical and complex medical care.
Position Highlights:
• 36 hours/week guaranteed
• 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
• Floating required
• Block scheduling not guaranteed
• Epic EMR
• Navy blue scrubs
• Local and travel candidates accepted within the stated radius
Key Duties:
• Provide nursing care for adult Medical/Surgical patients
• Care for post-surgical patients and complex medical conditions
• Monitor and manage patients with abdominal pain, fractures, back pain, and other diagnoses
• Care for bariatric surgery and morbid obesity patients
• Manage IV pumps, NG tubes, and feeding tubes
• Assess patient status and communicate changes to the care team
• Document patient care and interventions in Epic
Requirements:
✔ 2+ years of Medical/Surgical RN experience
✔ Travel experience required
✔ Active New York RN license
✔ Current AHA BLS
✔ Epic experience
✔ Current RN licenses must be verifiable through Nursys
✔ RTO must be provided at submission
