Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical:

Schedule: Straight Nights, Every Other Weekend (EOW), and Every Other Holiday

Position Overview:

The Med-Surg RN will provide direct nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical conditions and post-surgical needs. The nurse will assess patients, administer medications and treatments, monitor clinical status, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor patients for changes in condition.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient responses to treatment.
• Recognize and promptly report changes in patient condition.
• Document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient outcomes accurately.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
• Follow infection-control standards, patient-safety protocols, and hospital policies.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
• Previous travel nursing experience required.
• Current Ohio RN license or valid multistate Compact RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to work straight night shifts, every other weekend, and every other holiday.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and time-management skills.

Mandatory Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Complete approximately 60–70 NetLearning modules at least 10 days before the start date.
• Pass both the ECG exam and Medication exam with a score of 80% or higher.
• For the October 26, 2026 start date, all modules and exams must be completed by October 16, 2026.

Important: Candidates must be comfortable completing all required learning modules and passing both exams before the deadline to proceed with the assignment.
