Job Description
Seeking an experienced Local ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a 16-week night-shift assignment at MVHS Inc. – Wynn Hospital in Utica, NY. The RN will provide critical care to high-acuity medical, neurological, cardiac, surgical, and trauma patients in a 42-bed ICU.
The ICU includes Neuro/Medical, CTICU, and Surgical/Trauma patients. Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, ventilator management, critical-care monitoring, collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, and management of rapidly changing patient conditions.
The RN must be comfortable floating to applicable ICU units as needed and working with advanced critical-care equipment, including CRRT/Prismaflex, IABP, ventilators, ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and TTM/Arctic Sun.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience
Local candidate within 75 miles of Utica, NY
CRRT and Prismaflex experience required
Epic EMR experience required
Current AHA ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
Active New York RN license
Nursys verification of NY RN license and all active RN licenses
Experience in ICU, SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU
Ability to float to other applicable ICU units as needed
Strong critical-care assessment and clinical decision-making skills
Cardiac/heart experience highly preferred
