Job Summary

The ICU Registered Nurse provides quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN coordinates patient care, communicates with patients, families, and the healthcare team, and ensures appropriate documentation and implementation of care plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care in the ICU.
• Provide, delegate, and supervise nursing care and patient/family education.
• Communicate critical patient and family information effectively with the healthcare team.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans based on clinical assessment and patient needs.
• Identify variances from patient goals and participate in developing and implementing solutions.
• Provide professional, compassionate, and safe patient care while maintaining hospital standards.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience.
• Current Michigan RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required.
• Previous Level II Trauma facility experience preferred.
