HealthTrust Workforce Solutions Regional is seeking a local contract nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a local contract nursing job in Brevard, North Carolina.

Job Description & Requirements

About the unit:

·         Number of Beds -30

·         Type of equipment - IV pumps, SCDs, Nova Stat glucometer, wound vac, Baxter feeding pump, Lift equipment as appropriate, Pyxis (nurses only)

·         EMR -Cerner

 

Must have

·         All RNs must have BLS, ACLS completed prior to end of orientation

·         PCT/NAs are required to have BLS

Preferred or nice to have:  candidates with these skills will be considered first.

·         RNs with ICU/Stepdown experience

·          Staff with 1 year med/surg experience is preferred

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):  

·         IV starts  , CVL, Arterial lines

·          Foley catheters

·         EKG monitoring

·         Wound care

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

·         BLS

·         TCU

Dress Code:

·         Nurses-Navy blue scrubs; NAs: galaxy/royal blue scrubs

 

Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines.

·         Acute Care utilizes a Team-Based Care model.  All care providers, from MDs, nurses, case management, pharmacist and PT/OT meet daily to discuss patient/care/treatments and discharge needs.

Weekends and On call

·         Weekend rotation, 3 Monday and Friday per 6 week scheduling .  Holidays per staffing matrix.
