POSITION OVERVIEW

Seeking experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses for a 13-week night shift assignment in a high-volume Emergency Department. Candidates must have extensive ER experience and be comfortable caring for both adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with stroke patients and diabetes management is highly desirable. Local and travel candidates are welcome!

CREDENTIALING & START DATE

Credentialing takes approximately two weeks (10 business days). Candidates must have a start date at least two weeks after submission to allow sufficient time for credentialing.

The client is committed to same-day candidate reviews when possible, allowing qualified candidates to potentially receive an offer quickly.

SCHEDULE & ASSIGNMENT DETAILS

• Shift: Nights
• Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Floating: Not required
• On-Call: Not required
• Requested Time Off (RTO): Requests exceeding 5 days will not be accepted. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 5 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required.
• Active California RN license required. Expired licenses must be renewed before submission.
• Required certifications:
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • MAB or CPI
  • PALS

  • NIHSS

     

Preferred Experience

• Pediatric emergency nursing experience; approximately 40% of the patient population is pediatric.
• Stroke assessment and management experience.
• Diabetes management experience.
• Epic EMR experience.
• Experience in a large, high-volume Emergency Department.

PAY PACKAGE – TRAVEL CANDIDATES

• Regular Pay: $25.50/hour for 24 hours = $612.00
• Overtime Pay: $38.25/hour for 12 hours = $459.00
• Total Taxable Pay: $1,071.00/week
• Weekly Meals Stipend: $1,930.00
• Lodging Stipend: $0.00
• Gross Weekly Estimate: $3,001.00

PAY PACKAGE – LOCAL CANDIDATES

• Regular Pay: $67.00/hour for 24 hours = $1,608.00
• Overtime Pay: $100.50/hour for 12 hours = $1,206.00
• Total Taxable Pay: $2,814.00/week
• Stipends: $0.00
• Gross Weekly Estimate: $2,814.00

ADDITIONAL ASSIGNMENT INFORMATION

• Scrubs: Navy blue.
• PPE: Fully provided; fit testing can be completed onsite.

• EMR: Epic; prior experience highly preferred.

• Patient Volume: Approximately 220–270 patients, with volume reaching 300 during peak periods.
• Department Size: More than 50 treatment beds.
• Trauma Designation: Not a designated trauma center.
• Common Case Types: Abdominal complaints, shortness of breath, chest pain, stroke-related presentations, diabetes-related conditions, and pediatric emergencies.
• Pay Cycle: Sunday–Saturday.
