Position Details
Pay: $47–$50/hour

Position Overview
The Emergency Room RN will provide direct nursing care to Veterans presenting with acute and emergent healthcare needs in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment.
Responsibilities
* Perform emergency patient assessments and ongoing monitoring
* Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
* Administer medications and IV therapy
* Provide emergency and acute-care nursing interventions
* Assist with stabilization and ongoing treatment
* Maintain accurate EMR/EHR documentation
* Provide patient and family education
* Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
* Respond appropriately to emergency situations
Requirements
* Current, unrestricted RN license
* Recent Emergency Room/Emergency Department nursing experience
* Current required certifications for the assignment
* RN nursing degrees must meet the ACEN/CCNE accreditation requirement stated above
* Ability to complete required VA credentialing and compliance requirements
* Availability for 7:30 PM–8:00 AM night shifts
