Position Highlights
- December 23: Orientation
- December 24–27: 9 AM–9 PM shifts
- 12–15 patients per shift + handoffs
- Main Emergency Department — no dedicated fast-track/express care
- Single NP/PA coverage alongside 1–2 board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians
- Adult and pediatric emergency care
- Provider-in-Triage coverage as volume requires
- Future coverage dates may be available
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, stabilize, and treat ED patients
- Perform triage and standard emergency procedures
- Manage high-acuity cases and make rapid clinical decisions
- Document patient encounters and treatment plans in Cerner
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, specialists, and ancillary staff
- Participate in admissions and patient handoffs
Requirements
- Board Certified NP or PA
- Current Michigan license
- Michigan controlled substance license
- Current DEA registration
- AHA BLS required
- ED experience with both adult and pediatric patients
- Experience performing standard ED procedures
- Strong ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
