Position Overview
Kaiser Permanente is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery NP/PA to provide inpatient coverage due to a vacancy. The provider will support cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgery services, including first assisting, postoperative rounding, and clinic coverage as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- First assist during cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgery cases
- Vein harvesting experience required
- Radial artery harvesting experience preferred
- Perform inpatient postoperative rounding and patient management
- Provide clinic support as needed
- Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC/Health Connect
Requirements
- Active Oregon (OR) license required
- Board Certified
- Cardiothoracic/cardiovascular surgery experience
- Vein harvesting experience required
- First-assist experience
- BLS & ACLS – American Heart Association
- Vaccination preferred; waivers considered
Additional Details
- May float between Mt. Talbert/Westside and Sunnyside based on case volume
