Registered Nurse | Medical-Surgical – Stroke Stepdown
Wynn Hospital | Utica, NY | 13 Weeks | Night Shift
Seeking an experienced Med-Surg RN with Stroke Stepdown experience to care for adult patients in a 64-bed unit.
Position Highlights:
Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour nights)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Floating required
Epic EMR
Adult patient population
64-bed unit
Common diagnoses include stroke, altered mental status, renal conditions, dialysis, COPD, CHF, pneumonia, pulmonary issues, and general medical-surgical conditions.
Specialty equipment includes IV pumps, NG tubes, and feeding tubes.
Navy blue scrubs
No on-call requirement
Block scheduling is not guaranteed.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience with Stroke Stepdown experience.
Previous travel nursing experience required.
Active New York RN license required.
Current AHA BLS certification required.
Current NIHSS certification required (can be obtained before start).
Updated resume documenting relevant Med-Surg and Stroke Stepdown experience.
Specialty-specific skills checklist required.
Valid driver's license with address matching candidate demographics.
NURSYS license verification report showing active NY RN license and all active RN licenses.
RTO must be submitted at the time of application.
Local and travel candidates accepted. Local candidates within 75 miles are eligible at the local rate.
