### Exciting Opportunity for Cardiac RN in a Dynamic Environment! **Job Description:** - **Unit:** Cardiac IMCU - **Trauma Level:** 2 - **Position:** RN (Registered Nurse) - **Specialty:** Cardiac and Stepdown - **Openings:** 3 **Shift Details:** - Length: 12-hour shifts - Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 - Weekend Hours: Every Other Weekend - Call Requirements: Only if census is low **Certifications Required:** - BLS (Basic Life Support) - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - NIH (National Institutes of Health) **Experience:** - 1 year experience in PCU (Progressive Care Unit) or stepdown **Float Requirements:** Yes **Unit Information:** - **Number of Beds:** 36 - **Patient Ratios:** - 1:5-6 for Cardiac patients - 1:3-4 for PCU/stepdown population - **Equipment:** Telemetry monitoring - **EHR:** Cerner - **Supervisor:** Calleigh Gomoll, Manager & Cheryl Erickson, Director **Patient Population:** - Focus on cardiac patients with trauma and stepdown level of care, utilizing telemetry **Hiring Profile:** - **Must Have Skills/Experience:** - Experience with cardiac patient populations - Knowledge of chest tubes, cardiac monitoring, and cardiac drips - Strong background in cardiac stepdown populations - **Preferred Skillset/Experience:** - Experience in PCU/stepdown - Familiarity with low-level ICU skills **Common Diagnoses/Treatments:** - Chest pain - VATS (Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery) - Stroke/TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack) - Pre&Post Open Heart Surgery - Pacemakers - Heart Blocks - Vascular conditions - CHF (Congestive Heart Failure) **Personality Fit:** Teamwork is a must! **Education Requirement:** - Associate Degree **Dress Code:** - **Scrub Color:** Blue or Navy - **Unacceptable Attire:** No blue jeans --- **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
