Go Career Choice is accepting applications for a Local CDL-A Intermodal Truck Driver opportunity based in Hutchins, TX.
This full-time, dedicated intermodal position offers daily home time, consistent freight operations, and a combination of mileage, load, and stop pay.
Drivers will operate within approximately 250 miles of the terminal, transporting intermodal containers on chassis and servicing local freight movements.
Position Highlights
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,000–$1,100
- Home Time: Daily
- Route Type: Local Dedicated Intermodal
- Hiring Radius: Must reside within 30 miles of Hutchins, TX
- Load Pay: $29 per load
- Stop Pay: $20 per eligible stop
- Weekly Mileage: Approximately 1,000 miles
- Operating Radius: 250 miles
- Equipment: Day cab tractors pulling intermodal containers on chassis
- Freight Handling: Primarily drop-and-hook, with some live loading and unloading
Schedule & Home Time
Drivers enjoy daily home time with both day and night shifts available.
Schedule options include:
- Sunday–Thursday
- Tuesday–Saturday
Drivers may select their preferred schedule based on current availability. If a requested schedule is full, the recruiter will discuss the remaining options during the hiring process.
Additional weekend work may be required as needed. Drivers should be comfortable with slip-seat day cabs and varying traffic or weather conditions.
Driver Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Minimum 3 months of qualifying driving experience
- Must reside within 30 miles of Hutchins, TX
- Ability to operate safely in local intermodal environments
- Willingness to work available day or night shifts
- Ability to meet applicable employer and DOT hiring requirements
Job Responsibilities
- Transport intermodal containers between designated facilities and delivery locations
- Complete assigned routes within the operating area
- Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Manage drop-and-hook, preloaded, and live-load assignments
- Follow applicable DOT regulations and safety procedures
- Communicate shipment updates and operational issues as needed
