About the Position

Our client is seeking CDL A Drivers for local touch freight deliveries in South Windsor, Connecticut. Drivers will deliver palletized food to grocery stores using 53-foot refrigerated trailers. This is a temporary-to-permanent, on-site opportunity with a pay rate of $35 per hour.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $35 per hour
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday
• Start Time: Between 11:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m.
• Overtime: Available after 40 hours
• Employment Type: Temp to perm

Job Details

• Route Type: Local
• Freight: Palletized food
• Equipment: 53-foot refrigerated trailers and automatic Freightliner trucks
• Handling: Heavy touch freight; drivers load and unload using an electric pallet jack
• Workday: Approximately 10 hours with multiple stops
• Delivery Area: New England and New York

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a CDL A vehicle safely and professionally on local routes.
• Deliver palletized food to grocery stores.
• Load and unload freight using an electric pallet jack.
• Complete multiple deliveries in a timely and safe manner.
• Maintain compliance with applicable transportation regulations and safety standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid CDL A license.
• 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
• Ability to safely handle heavy touch freight and operate an electric pallet jack.
