    Loan Officer

    Compass Pointe Consulting is seeking an experienced Loan Officer to guide new-home purchasers through the mortgage process, from prequalification and application through approval and settlement. The Loan Officer positions are located in Baltimore, MD; Fairfax, VA; Frederick, MD; Roanoke, VA; and Pittsburgh, PA

    The Loan Officer will serve as the customer’s primary mortgage contact, review financing options, prepare loan applications, and help resolve qualification or credit challenges. This position also works closely with homebuilding sales teams, processors, underwriters, and closing personnel to provide a smooth customer experience and support community sales goals.

    This is an on-site position based in community model homes and mortgage offices.

    Primary Responsibilities
    Prequalify prospective homebuyers and review available financing options
    Guide customers through loan application, approval, and settlement
    Originate accurate loan applications with all required supporting documentation
    Maintain regular contact with borrowers and internal business partners
    Provide loan-status updates and address questions throughout the process
    Assist credit-challenged buyers with strategies to improve their eligibility
    Maintain knowledge of conventional, government, state housing, and broker loan programs
    Partner with homebuilding sales teams to support monthly sales and settlement goals
    Educate sales representatives on lending changes and new mortgage products
    Deliver strong customer service while meeting production and performance goals
    Ensure all origination activities comply with licensing and regulatory requirements

    Qualifications
    Must meet all applicable national and state mortgage licensing requirements
    At least two years of mortgage-lending experience with conventional and government loans
    Strong knowledge of Fannie Mae, FHA, and state housing programs
    Proven consultative sales and relationship-building skills
    Excellent customer service and communication abilities
    Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through
    Ability to manage multiple customers, deadlines, and loan applications
    Four-year college degree preferred
