GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for administering the Bank's Loan Documentation procedures to insure efficient and effective operations, including but not limited to:Supervising new loan documentation preparation and ensuring deadlines are met.Ensuring that all internally and externally prepared documentation is accurate, complete and meets compliance standards. Reviewing attorney prepared documents for accuracy and completeness. Communicate with attorneys and other parties to finalize documents.Ensuring loans are properly approved, policy/procedures are followed (ie proper appraisal and environmental reports are ordered) and documents match the approval.Monitoring the workload and re-assign work as necessary.Maintaining a pending list for any exceptions.Performing or overseeing the final review of settled loans.Determining and assigning codes for loans on the core system to ensure proper reporting.Examining, interpreting and preparing required documentation for loan modifications and subsequently ensuring accurate changes are made on the core software.Communicating with internal customers (lenders and Loan Services) as well as external customers (attorneys and title companies) on various issues.Initiating maintenance changes with respect to commercial loans.Monitoring Committee Presentations regarding new loans, line renewals and modifications.Indexing documents to the imaging system and ensure completeness of the electronic files.Overseeing the preparation of the CRA LAR, HMDA LAR and Small Business Data Collection.Monitoring the flood insurance process at origination and review private policies as needed.Providing information to title companies, attorneys, Life Insurance Companies and sometimes Letter of Credit beneficiaries, as requested.Responsible for staying current with QNB products, services and industry trends with respect to documentation and lending.Supervises department personnel, including but not limited to:Ensuring that prescribed operating policies and procedures are followed.Reviewing employee performance and making recommendations regarding salary changes, promotions, transfers or terminations.Training and/or overseeing the training of department personnel.Serves as the department representative on assigned committees.Serves as vendor owner for software related to loan documentation, HMDA or CRA. This may include reviewing updates to the software and serving as a liaison between the users and the vendor(s).Responsible for the ongoing preparation and accuracy of various reports including summary of loans documented/modified, pending, construction call codes, unused commitments, troubled debt modifications and others as required by senior management.Ensure regulatory compliance within the department and lending as a whole. Minimize risks wherever possible.Serve as liaison between Loan Documentation and auditors/examiners.Maintain strong partnerships across all departments.Inform management of concerns regarding specific transactions or overall processes.Complete assigned compliance training in a timely manner and demonstrate the ability to apply training to their duties and responsibilities including their supervision of other employees.Assumes additional job-related duties as required. REQUIRED TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Five years of experience in loan documentation practices, including general policies and procedures, and relevant law.Knowledge of banking compliance regulations.Ability to multi-task and work effectively with colleagues, managing time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and within established time frame.Interpersonal skills to represent QNB in a positive manner when dealing with internal and external customers.Must be proficient in various computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel. PREFERRED TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Previous supervisory experience.Previous experience using LaserPro software. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by and employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
