The Loan Document Review Specialist is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and validating loan documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in minimizing risk, supporting loan processing efficiency, and ensuring high-quality loan file integrity.The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:Reviewing loan documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory standardsVerifying borrower information, loan terms, and supporting documentationIdentifying discrepancies, missing documentation, or potential risk factors and escalate as neededCollaborating with loan officers and loan assistants to resolve documentation issuesMaintaining detailed records of findings and communicating required corrections clearly and efficientlyPerforming quality control audits on closed loan files to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standardsStaying current with industry regulations, compliance requirements, and lending guidelinesMeeting productivity and accuracy benchmarks while managing multiple files simultaneouslyTwo years of experience in mortgage, lending, loan processing, underwriting support, or document review with a strong understanding of loan documentation, including income verification, credit reports, and closing disclosures, as well as a familiarity with regulatory requirements such as TRID, RESPA, and TILA, is preferred. Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently is required.
