Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Loan Document Operations Analyst to support a document-intensive operations team responsible for critical loan fulfillment activities. This role plays an important part in ensuring the accurate preparation, review, processing, and shipment of loan-related documentation.
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for candidates looking to build a career in financial services operations. While prior mortgage experience is not expected, individuals who demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a commitment to quality often excel in this position.
Responsibilities:
Process and handle paper-based loan documentation in a structured office environment
Prepare, print, package, and ship loan documents and customer correspondence
Accurately update and maintain information within loan origination systems
Support Closing Disclosure (CD) reviews and related redisclosure activities
Monitor and respond to requests received through shared team mailboxes and SharePoint queues
Complete redisclosure documentation and submit required follow-up requests when changes are identified
Review refund and settlement documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
Compare settlement statements against Closing Disclosures to validate financial information
Research discrepancies and ensure figures reconcile prior to refund processing
Collaborate with internal business partners, settlement agents, and operational support teams
Maintain productivity, accuracy, and organization while adhering to established procedures and service level expectations
Follow detailed processes and established controls within a quality-focused operational environment
Qualifications:
Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
6+ months of professional experience in an office, administrative, operations, customer support, or related environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to follow structured processes and procedures
Basic analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
Comfortable working in a cubicle-based office environment and handling physical documents
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
Experience reviewing, reconciling, or comparing documents for accuracy
Exposure to operations, financial services, banking, or administrative support environments
Experience working with shared mailboxes, workflow queues, or document management systems
Demonstrated ability to learn and retain detailed processes and procedures
