Redwood Credit Union is looking for a Loan Closing Coordinator I, who will be responsible for supporting RCU's lending departments closing and funding processes particularly focused in Mortgage Lending, by working both individually and as part of a team to facilitate the loan closing process, including the creation and review of loan closing documents. The Loan Closing Coordinator I must have entry level skills in reviewing loan closing documents for completeness and accuracy, as well as demonstrated ability to balance funding transactions in partnership with title companies utilized to transact the loan.
Key Responsibilities
o Prepare and remit accurate loan closing documents to closing agents.
o Ensure supplemental documents and underwriting stipulations are included.
o Review loan documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
o Apply TRID regulations, including timing and accuracy of Loan Estimates and Closing Disclosures.
o Maintain compliance with RCU policies, investor guidelines (e.g., Fannie Mae), and regulatory changes.
o Validate executed loan documents for proper signatures, notary info, and title compliance.
o Resolve documentation errors and ensure fee tolerance compliance.
o Review and approve Closing Disclosure and Settlement Statement for accuracy.
o Issue final Closing Disclosure when needed and initiate wire transfers.
o Input funding data into loan origination and core banking systems.
o Address post-closing issues and support delivery of loan packages to investors.
Lending Operations Support:
o Provide backup support for lending phone queues.
o Respond to basic inquiries from members and interested parties regarding loan status.

Minimum Qualification: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The ideal candidate has a combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma, with a minimum of two years' related closing/funding experience in lending industry.
Compensation: Base starting range: $24.00 to $31.00 per hour commensurate with experience.
Our base salary starting range is based on scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate''s work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal peer equity.
