ABOUT THE ROLEA financial institution is seeking a detail-oriented professional to support the operational side of its commercial lending business. This role will handle loan documentation, transaction processing, portfolio reporting, reconciliations, and day-to-day operational controls while partnering with internal teams and outside legal counsel. The ideal candidate has early-career commercial banking experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive activities in a regulated environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Coordinate with legal counsel and internal stakeholders to facilitate commercial loan closings and ensure approved terms are accurately reflected in final documentation.
- Organize and coordinate execution of loan documents with borrowers and other required parties.
- Process day-to-day commercial loan transactions, including advances, payments, fees, credit limit changes, and interest-rate adjustments.
- Monitor loan operations activity to ensure transactions are completed accurately, efficiently, and within required timelines.
- Perform daily reconciliations between loan system activity and general ledger balances, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain complete and organized electronic and physical loan records in accordance with internal procedures.
- Prepare recurring reports and portfolio information for management and other internal stakeholders.
- Review operational activity for adherence to applicable banking regulations, internal policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Assist with system implementations, enhancements, upgrades, user acceptance testing, and related operational projects.
- Work collaboratively with lending, operations, accounting, compliance, and other internal teams to resolve issues and maintain smooth loan servicing operations.
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- 1 3 years of relevant commercial banking experience;commercial loan operations experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with banking regulations, operational controls, and compliance requirements is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Fluency in Chinese is required, with the ability to read and speak Mandarin and/or Cantonese.
