LMSW Clinical Supervisor & Therapist – Full-Time

Ellie Mental Health–Clarkston is an independently owned practice providing in-person and telehealth care throughout Michigan. Our furnished clinic and administrative support, including billing, allow clinicians to focus on client care, supervision, and growth.


We seek a compassionate Michigan LMSW with a Clinical designation to provide outpatient therapy and supervise LLMSWs while contributing to a collaborative practice grounded in authenticity, compassion, creativity, humor, acceptance, and determination.


Compensation


This is a W-2 straight-commission position, not a salaried position. Clinicians earn a commission percentage of collected insurance and client payments for completed services, a common outpatient private-practice model. Compensation covers session preparation, client sessions, scheduling, documentation, and required meetings. Unlike a 1099 arrangement, the W-2 model includes employee benefits, employer-paid payroll taxes, and employment protections.


Caseload Development


Building and maintaining a caseload is a shared responsibility. The practice provides marketing, online scheduling, administrative support, community relationships, and practice-generated referrals. Clinicians must also maintain availability, respond promptly to referrals, support retention, communicate their specialties, and participate in approved outreach.


Approved outreach and caseload-development activities are paid at $20 per hour when authorized in advance.


Full-time clinicians must average at least 25 direct client-facing hours per week and initially offer approximately 35 scheduling hours per week to support growth and cancellations. At least one evening is required.


Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, establish diagnoses, develop treatment plans, and provide evidence-based psychotherapy
  
  
• Complete clinical documentation accurately and on time
  
  
• Provide individual and group supervision to assigned LLMSWs
  
  
• Review supervisees’ clinical work and documentation promptly
  
  
• Monitor clinical competence, ethics, scope, risk management, documentation, and licensure progress
  
  
• Remain available for required consultation and clinical escalation
  
  
• Maintain supervision records and verify experience consistent with Michigan requirements and practice policy
  
  
• Support scheduling consistency, retention, outreach, team consultation, and quality improvement
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Michigan LMSW license in good standing with the Clinical designation; limited licensure does not qualify
  
  
• Ability to supervise clinical LLMSW experience and complete required Michigan LARA verification forms
  
  
• Master of Social Work degree from a CSWE-accredited program
  
  
• Experience with outpatient psychotherapy, assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, risk assessment, and compliant documentation
  
  
• Ability to provide structured, ethical, timely, and developmentally appropriate supervision
  
  
• Willingness to participate in caseload development and community outreach
  
  
• Strong communication, organization, boundaries, dependability, and follow-through
  
  
• Proficiency with EHR and office technology; Valant experience is a plus

• Previous supervision of LLMSWs

• Credentialing with commercial insurance, Medicaid, or EAP panels
  
  
• Community referral relationships or outreach experience
